Understand the Requirement
Identify what the buyer requires in terms of product, grade, quantity and commercial expectations.
THARWAT ALEBDAA GENERAL TRADING L.L.C. treats Quality & Inspection as an important supporting function within its international commodity trading activities. TAGT’s documented business scope covers General Trading, Offshore Crude Oil Trading and Offshore Refined Oil Product Trading, together with Hamriyah Free Zone import/export activities for petroleum products, petrochemicals, foodstuff and beverages.
For commodity transactions, product acceptance should be based on the agreed contractual specification, quantity and documentary requirements. Depending on the product and transaction, TAGT can coordinate independent third-party inspection for sampling, laboratory analysis, quality verification, quantity determination, weight confirmation and loading or discharge inspection.
Inspection requirements differ by commodity. Petroleum products may require testing of parameters such as density, sulfur, flash point and viscosity; minerals may require chemical assay and moisture testing; metals may require purity or mill-test documentation; and food products may require grade, microbiological, sanitary and packaging verification. The exact inspection scope should always be established in the relevant sales or purchase contract.
Typical supporting documents may include Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Quality, Certificate of Quantity, Weight Certificate, Inspection Certificate, Certificate of Origin, Mill Test Certificate, Assay Report and other product-specific documentation. Independent inspection results can provide both buyer and seller with a clearer basis for confirming that the goods correspond with the agreed commercial specification.
TAGT’s KYC declaration states that the information supplied for business transactions is represented as accurate and references compliance with anti-money-laundering policies. This supports TAGT’s focus on documented transactions, counterparty awareness, commercial transparency and responsible business practices.
From product specification and independent inspection to supporting certificates and shipment documentation, TAGT aims to help ensure that every commodity transaction is supported by clear quality, quantity and conformity requirements agreed between the commercial parties.
